On Sunday, March 8, 2026, families are invited to join the Leprechaun Gold Hunt - a free, self-guided adventure at five secret playgrounds in the area.
It’s the perfect way to kick off March, get outside after winter, and enjoy a little St. Patrick’s magic before the big day even arrives.
There will be games, prizes, giveaways and a grand prize - A gift basket from local businesses!
Register your family, and on the morning of the event you’ll receive an email with:
- The 5 secret playground locations, and
- A printable clue sheet to help kids solve the Leprechaun’s secret saying using the letters they discover on special gold bricks

How the Leprechaun Gold Hunt Works
1. Sign up online
Complete the quick registration form so we know you’re playing. Only registered families will receive the playground locations and clue sheet.
2. Watch your email on Sunday morning
On the morning of Sunday, March 8, we’ll email you:
- The list of 5 participating playgrounds
- A link to download & print the Leprechaun’s Secret Saying activity sheet
- A few hints and tips to help your kids in their hunt
3. Hunt for gold!
Sometime before the event start time, we’ll hide plastic gold coins, nuggets, rocks & bricks in visible, easy-to-reach spots around each playground.
When your family visits a park:
- Let your kids hunt around the play structures and surrounding play area
- When they find gold, they can keep 1–2 coins each as a souvenir
- Some special coins will have letters or even WORDS on them—kids can copy those onto their activity sheet
4. Solve the Leprechaun’s Secret Saying
Using the letters they find, plus the word-length clues on the sheet, kids can work to figure out the Leprechaun’s secret Irish saying about feeling better and taking care of yourself.
Most kids won’t see all the letters—that’s okay!
The fun is in:
- The surprise of finding gold
- Visiting different playgrounds
- Trying to guess the sentence with the letters they do find
